  1. Worms cause organic illness and various sorts of discomfort. The level of discomfort is related to the nature of the specific animal…some individuals are more sensitive than others, as in humans. Discomfort can be described as a type of pain. Pain could therefore be observed in various degrees to my way of thinking.

    • Yes, thank you for your comment Frances. There is a fine line between discomfort and pain. I agree that. I decided in this instance that the word pain meant specifically that in taking a commonsense view of the word and its interpretation. But I do agree with your point.
