Does Our Anxiety Affect Our Cat’s Behaviour and Health? — 5 Comments

  1. Yes my cats are they same. They know when things not so good. They sense the shift in Mood and Anxiety. Often can sense when things are not going well.

  2. My 7 year old female cat Matahari bizarrely senses my moods especially when i am due to begin a “Solo tour” and away from home. She just follows me and tends to sleep0 near me or even get into my bed if i allow the same.Call it “Cat Sense” but she has shown this odd behaviour on numerous occasions and i am not making my statement on just one stray instance. She also has this strange habit of quickly slipping into any open drawer or cupboard and stay calm and quiet inside. My other 5 year old tomcat “Matata”, her kitten, doesn’t display any of this type of behaviour.
I have shown a candid photo clicked just a day asgo of “Matahari” hiding in the drawer that i happened to leave open.

  3. My cats know, absolutely, when I am stressed most of the time.
If I wake up 30 minutes late, at 2:30 AM, I am frantic.
They’ve, finally, learned and sort of just retreat until I right myself (usually after 1/2 cup of coffee).
But, oddly, they don’t pick it up at other times, like when I am desperately trying to balance the checkbook, and I could really use some space.

      • Both, really.
        We’re closely connected.
But, I think because of the way I am, they conform to my hyper personality.
It’s all about action, action, action here.
