Is this female cat’s actions a vestigial female mating behavior? By that I mean an instinctive but not complete form of female cat in heat behavior provoked by her human companion’s friendly advances. I have asked if the cat is unspayed.
It is not a full cat-in-heat position but she does turn her back to him, presenting her backside and what is telling is that she places her tail to one side and then the other side. It is a very positive move indicating that she wants to be mated. But I could be barking up the wrong tree. Or worse there has been a form of bestiality and the cat is conditioned to it. That sounds extreme but something odd is going on here.
