This is the first time that I have heard dog owners complaining about cat owners who take their cat out on a leash in a dog park. But it could be anywhere. In this instance it is happening in a Sydney, Australia suburb where some well-heeled cat owners are paying cat sitters and cat walkers to take their cats outside for a short while to breathe the open air and smell nature at a cost of AU$78 per hour.

This problem won’t be a big issue because not many people are able to take their cats out on leashes. Cats don’t like it or are rarely trained to accept the leash.

But it is an interesting problem because suddenly dog owners are confronted with competition from cats! It’s a novel problem for them. They’ve had the run of the park for as long as they can remember. They own the park. They don’t want interfering busybody cats spoiling their fun!
