Thanks to the internet we see a lot of friendships between dogs and cats. We also see dogs raising kittens and vice versa. This is the first time I have seen this sort of behavior. The kitten looks genuinely scared. Terra is not bothered by the thunder.
I think it’s a rare dog that not afraid of thunder or any loud noise. How wonderful to see a dog protecting a cat.
Many dogs are, naturally, protective of the smaller and more vulnerable.
I’ve found that they aren’t as protective of their feline brothers/sisters that they have lived with a while. But, I think that a dog knows that any baby has to be protected.
