Domestic Cat Eats More in Winter — 5 Comments

  1. Well, its just like us in the winter & colder months, its certainly like this here being colder at the moment. One thing I’ve noticed is how some,of my cats get affected by the colder weather. Like Ozzie my black Cat, he gets very feisty and grumpy. Can usually tell he is feeling the cold.

  2. This is, certainly, the situation here.
But, I don’t think it is related to needing more energy to stay warm during winter.
My cat food expense is much less in the blazing summer temperatures than in cooler weather.
Like us, cats don’t want to venture out in steaming heat, unless they must, here in Florida.
