An infographic designed to be a reminder that domestic cats are not always quite the threat to bird populations that ornithologists want us to believe. There has been a tendency in the past for ornithologists and bird loving scientists to disseminate misleading information about domestic cat bird predation in an effort to encourage legislators to make full-time indoor cats obligatory.
I don’t wish to unfairly minimise the impact of domestic cat predation on birds. However, in the interests of accuracy the infographic touches on some important points.
