Fun! I’d like some veterinarians to undergo this ‘experience’ just so they learn what it means to be declawed. So they can empathise with their ‘patient’. So they can understand that cats are sentient beings just like them. So they can feel the pain and more pain. Only it’s worse for cats as they are digitigrades; they walk on their toes which makes this operation doubly cruel.

NY and NJ have already started to get laws banning this barbaric and cruel mutilation stopped. There are many ways to train your cat not to scratch certain places but people will not take the time and energy they spend on looking at their phonrs all to train their cat
Is this vet against declawing at ALL times now or is he still defending declawing under certain circumstances? I haven’t read anywhere where he says declawing should never be performed on a cat. He’s deleted the post on his fb page from March where defended declawing.

Can you imagine the joy that will bring to millions of people and cats. There are those who would hate a ban. But in five years after a ban people would look back and wonder why the hell declawing ever existed.
