Eight year old girl loves blind rescue cat

Britta Bergeson wanted to adopt this one-year-old blind rescue cat as soon as she saw her on the Arizona Humane Society (AHS) website.

These small images are linked to larger versions and a short description.

She was a stray cat, whose eyes had been injured beyond repair and had to be removed. She was spotted, picked up and treated by AHS.

Britta persuaded her parents to let her adopt “Justice” – now named “Lucky” (she made drawing showing her love for the cat). When she visited the AHS shelter she made a beeline for Lucky and it was instant love between the two.

The rest is history: a beautiful relationship which is best presented in the photos of Britta’s mother, Shay Bergeson and AHS above.

I am grateful to thedodo.com for the story and Britta’s mum (Shay) and AHS for the photos.

I’m happy for both of them. I bet she will grow up to be a wonderful and effective advocate for animals, and probably have a career affecting positive progress. This is a perfect story.
