Elegant Photo of Semi-feral Kitten

This photo is exactly as taken – zero Photoshopping. It is of Gabriel a kitten I am fostering. I have to say that when I do edit photos I do it very judiciously – meaning in a very limited way because if it is overdone it ruins the picture. Photography should have a genuineness about it which is the source of a photograph’s strength and attractiveness.

I love it for its purity, elegance and the expression on Gabriel’s face. The purity and simplicity of the photo is in keeping with Gabriel himself. The colors are truish – he is a little bit browner than this. You can see that Gabs is a grey/brown spotted tabby cat. His eyes are the same color almost.

For people who don’t know, Gabriel is a semi-feral kitten who I am currently fostering and socialising. He is coming on nicely.

  1. He is so handsome. I miss having a kitten. My old cats dont mind the gargage men at all. But my dogs love to sit in the yard and bark when they come by.

          1. I love how cats are “curtain twitchers”, having to see everything go on. They’d make valuable neighbourhood watch members if only they could speak 😉

What a lovely photo Michael, Gabriel is so handsome, it’s hard to believe he’s only been with you for a short while.

    1. Alan, your cheek is excused. Nice work. Thanks. I think I slightly prefer the more natural appearance. I wanted that quiet, smooth, soft, grey semi-black and white appearance. But there isn’t much in it. I might try another version myself 😉 . You’ve got me thinking.
