Tigers are amazing. They are the biggest cat in the world. They are wild cats with orange fur and dark stripes. The tiger is fierce and strong. They live in India, Russia and Bangladesh. Tigers live in forests and woods where they hide and chase animals to eat. There are white tigers in zoos. There are about 3,500 tigers in the world. There are less than there were before. This is sad. We should try to protect the tiger.
Class 1 is the age range: 5-7. This is a very simple essay. There are two versions: one is an image as if written by hand by a 6 year-old and the other is typed so that it can be copied.

I do part time care with a 6 yr. old girl that lives in the same house I do. She’s very bright and articulate, but is lagging behind in school because of family situations. (her mom and dad) So, her grandma has custody, and I tutor her.
She’s delightful, and quite the performer. She makes up songs,stories,and dances. I think she’ll be famous some day.
I want to show her this, and see if she might want to write something, with my help. She’s just learning to read some words. She loves cats, and although my cat isn’t used to children, she’s becoming more trusting of her, as I teach the little girl how to be gentle and quiet.
I’m going to try to submit a picture. Her name is Kamora. She’s Jamaican and Puerto Rican.
I would love her to try and write a short essay on cats! That would be wonderful. The more the better I say.
Kids are smarter now than when I was 6. I could nt read or write when I was 6.But that was 60 years ago.I sure enjoyed the essay.

MY BACKGROUND WAS HARDER THAN SOME BUT EASIER THAN SOME.MY DAD DRANK A LOT AND THERE WAS ABUSE BUT I ROSE ABOVE IT AND RAISED 4 KIDS AND LOST THE 5TH AT 6 YEARS TO RENAL DISEASE.MY HUSBAND RUNS AROUND A LOT ,BUT I HAVE MY KITTIES AND 7 DOGS TOO. THEY ARE ALL RESCUES AND MOST OF MY SOCIAL SECURITY CHECK GOES FOR FOOD AND VET CARE FOR THEM.THEY ARE MY FAMILY NOW THAT MY KIDS ARE RAISED AND GONE.THEY ALL HAVE GOOD EDUCATIONS AND GOOD JOBS.I GOT MY GED AND 2 YEARS OF COLLEGE.I NEVER DRANK AND DONT CARE FOR PEOPLE THAT DO.WHEN I WORKED IT WAS WITH HANDICAPPED CHILDREN AND SENIORS.
