His kids storybook can be found at Furby The Feral Feline. The only page I'm not happy with is the title page where I give the cast of characters and the dedications. I may change that part. The rest looks great.

My next project is a photobook only entitled Ghosts of Felines Past and will have the best of all of my cat pics over the years. A lot of them have never been seen and many are downright funny. You'll be able to see the pics before I do the book on that one because I'll load them to a folder called Ghosts of Felines Past.

I believe Michael will go crazy on that one because it has a lot from my MySpace site. Like the picture I took of my Smokey on a baby scale asleep.

I'm also gonna be adding about 400 pics to the shutterfly site. Plus I have a few articles in the works. There's the story of Booger and Coco, Butch and Zack and the tame skunks, the cat lady (me) and the fox, Mischief, Salem, Blackie, and Shadow. Oh well, you get the picture.

I'm also going to do Cody's story (she's my huskey wolf looking dog) and it will be on hub pages. Also a children's book on Cody for the shutterfly site. That may sound like a good project for the year but its my goal for the next 2 weeks. Three weeks tops.

I like the style of MAR (see stray cat picture) and you'll find a lot of my new work to resemble that style of photography.

Michael tells me to take my time and enjoy but to me this is taking my time!

My daughter is going to her dad's mom for a week visit early next month. I just looked around and I really need to get rid of some clutter. If anyone broke in they'd just leave thinking someone had beat them to it!

These 4 months writing for PoC has helped my writing skills. In the past year I have also learned how to copy, paste, drag and drop, edit, link site pages and set up a personal website. I type over 100 words a minute but the other skills are new.

On my shutterfly site I also have links to poison control, no kill shelters listed by state and other helpful sites. It also has a calender.

I'd better get busy. Let me know what you think once you see the Furby book.

I NEED ADVICE. SHOULD I PUT THE CAT'S NAME ON THE PICTURE OR SHOULD I LEAVE EACH PICTURE BLANK? THIS IS A CAT LOVER PROJECT AND I NEED YOU GUYS.

Hi Joyce

I just adore Furby!

I've read his stories and I just love all of them, I've emailed the link to everyone I know with or without kids! He'll soon have a huge following!

I had tears in my eyes when I read 'My Kittie thinks he's a Turkish Angora' He really is the most sweetest kitten I've ever seen. I've never seen one like him, he's almost ethereal.

I'm a fatalist, I think he was sent from somewhere then he was just waiting for you, he seems to have so much going on behind those beautiful eyes.

I'm so sorry for your loss last year, I truly hope that this year holds many wonderful time's for you, Furby and the rest of your family.

Mar 14, 2010 This is slow for me
by: Joyce Sammons

I once had a friend look at me and say "Will you please land?!" That was 20 years ago. The only time I ever came close was after major surgery and I was in the grocery store (driven by someone else of course) 3 days later. In my last job I worked 12 hour shifts, 4 hrs. of it working in the emergency room.As for the typing, I could type before I could write. My parents bought me a real typewriter at 5 years old. I was sewing quilts at 9. This is slow for me. I think I'll leave the pictures blank and maybe put the names on the page under them for the book. The book will probably be an ongoing project but it would make a great coffee table book if anyone wanted to purchase it.

I did pull up the shutterfly site using Google Chrome so hopefully there won't be any problems for anyone wanting to view it.

Mar 14, 2010 Browser problem
by: Finn Frode, Denmark

Hi Joyce. Unfortunately this Shutterfly site requires the browsers Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari, which leaves out my personal favourite Opera and also the new Google Chrome, which is likely to become a serious threat to Microsoft's rule.
I do have FireFox installed as back-up browser, but not being able to access a site with ANY browser really should not be necessary in 2010. Just thought I'd let you know... 😉

Mar 14, 2010 Hi Joyce

I have just visited the Furby Storybook and it looks very impressive. Well done. For me, it has an old fashioned feel, which makes it all the more charming.

As to names of characters on or under the photographs, I don't think there is a simple answer. The answer might depend a bit on the size of the picture. With a small pic the wording will be distracting and too large if it is to be readable. Whereas for a large picture, it would be fine.

Where the names are important (as is the case for this project), I think that it is better that the names are in the picture when there is more than one picture on the page as it is easier to read and clearer (provided the pic is not too small)

A single pic can have the name below it. I think I have overcomplicated the answer 🙂

You type damn fast. You work too hard! You barely sleep! Slow down....
