If I had a garden I would have a garden cat sculpture in it! I think they brighten up the garden and I guess it is a way of having a cat in the garden if you are a household where you have indoor cats only.
I am not sure if a cat sculpture in the garden would act as a deterrent to birds or other cats. I would doubt it to be honest.
