Good Samaritans rescue newborn kittens and deliver them to local veterinarian

A group of Good Samaritans spent Wednesday morning being heroes for a family of newborn kittens.

The crew at Hawks Motorsports (a company that specializes in all GM Performance Parts & Restoration) in Easley, South Carolina came across a mama kitty with her kittens. Unfortunately, the mother was accidentally scared and ran away, leaving her kittens behind.

Local animal advocate Kara Clayton was contacted (she’s the one who will go out at 3 a.m. to rescue a lost or injured animal). Kara delivered the kittens to Powdersville Animal Hospital where they’ll be tube fed until they’re older.

These babies need LOTS of prayers for the next several days this time is most critical for newborns who didn’t get that much-needed mommy milk.

Kara says she’ll continue to look for the mother cat. These new babies are in better hands, as kittens born under these conditions rarely survive without human intervention early on.

A big thanks go out to Hawks Motorsports and to Kara, who all went out of their way to see these kittens got the help needed to survive.
