The organisation, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have created a gory Halloween ensemble which they entitle “Cecil’s Revenge”. It is made up of a lion plush toy about one third size and a dentist’s white coat covered in blood. The lion bites the wearer of the coat on the shoulder. The outfit sells for $139.99 and the profit from sales goes to PETA.
PETA appear to have got the idea from a similar product by a commercial maker of Halloween costumes, Costumeish.com, which featured a white coat covered in blood and the severed head of Cecil. The original costume is simply a gory/funny version (if that’s possible) of the original event whereas PETA’s version turns things on its head whereby Cecil gets his revenge. A lot of people will like to see Cecil getting his revenge beyond the grave.
During the forthcoming Halloween celebrations people who were so angry about the death of Cecil at the hands of the notorious trophy hunter Dr Walter Palmer can now indulge in a little bit of fantasy role-play and pretend that the tables have been turned.
It’s nice that you are promoting money going to PETA. They destroy all stray pet cats.
I am not promoting PETA. I am just reporting facts.
