Harvey

Harvey

This is my Tiffany/Chantilly Cat. I've always been a dog person - until Harvey. Such a good-hearted, chill personality. Not aggressive, gets along with dogs (unless he grew up with dogs before we got him).

Always on his back paws in all directions. Not typical cat personality. LOVE this Breed!!!!

Diana

Hi Diana.. thanks for showing us Harvey. As I remember it, all the visitors who have shared their Tiffany cat experiences have said that this cat has a really nice personality.

I have not heard a bad word about the Tiffany. Harvey is a very handsome boy. His coat looks very rich in color.

Hello

Thanks for sharing the pictures of beautiful Harvey!!

I love his expression so intelligent!

I've always had a soft spot for Black cats for some reason I have 2 Black ones at present and one of them isn't unlike Harvey.

I love your description of Harvey interacting with your other pets! I will check out your photos and video of Harvey. I'm supposed to be arranging an anthem for my choir tonight right now, so I will just say this: You should watch the movie "Harvey" with Harvey. You will get a kick out of it, I think. And they say the name Harvey so often, that your cat really will think the movie is about him!

There was a remake of it in the 1980's I think, and it sucked. Make sure to get the original with Jimmy Stewart as Elwood P. Dowd. Harvey plays himself.

Hey there,

I haven't seen the movie nor did I choose Harvey. My roommate had brought him home from the Humane Society and for some things he had a special eye. We already had a few pets and I thought oh great, what are we gonna do with a cat?

But Harvey was different from the start. For one he was huge, so chill and just so different from any other cat.

Then I came home one day and roommate's kids told me that Harvey and the little Pomeranian Puppy had been wrestling and Harvey just let the Puppy do whatever with him. I would not want to believe it until I saw it!!!! From then on those two were inseparable. Well, the Puppy followed Harvey everywhere and always annoyed the hell out of Harvey wanting to play. One in a while Harvey threw a paw out but never hissed, never came the claws out nor ever did he bite.

Besides that, Harvey showed a lot of dog traits that made me wonder if he grew up with other dogs.

As for him being black and the whole black cat mystery, I think he's beautiful and don't understand y ppl don't like black cats. I don't believe in the witchcraft necessarily BUT I will say that I have wondered at times what or who Harvey really is because not only do we have such a close bond but something is deeper there.

I was the one taking care of all the pets, feeding, brushing, washing, walking, etc. so I got attached to them and they got attached to me, so when I moved out I had to take Harvey with me. With permission of my roommate of course but I knew I couldn't leave him behind anywhere.

Here are pics of the pets:

Harvey NEW

Is Harvey a Pooka? I just couldn't resist. You should watch the Jimmy Stewart movie "Harvey" if you haven't already. A Pooka is a mischievous spirit, usually in the form of an animal. Harvey in the movie is a rabbit-- six feet tall-- friend and companion to Elwood P. Dowd-- the only person who can see him. You should watch the movie with your cat Harvey. He will like it because he will think it is about him.

The other day someone on the television said the word "treat" and my cat Monty perked right up. As a fellow human companion of a black cat, I have to say it is wonderful that Harvey has a home with you. Black cats are usually the last to be chosen from shelters. Such a shame, because I think black cats are the best. There is a possibility that superior immune function is a genetic trait linked with the gene for black fur in cats, because studies have been done showing that black cats are more likely to be immune to certain cat illnesses and more likely to survive if they do contract the disease. Good news for Harvey and Monty!
