I have bundled cat health and history together for convenience. Both these subjects are important in the world of the domestic cat. The former is very important for obvious reasons. From a human standpoint it is useful for the ‘cat owner’ to have some knowledge of cat health problems so that he or she can deal with a veterinarian more effectively and on occasion take pro-active measures herself.

Cat history is interesting to people who are interested in cats. Indirectly, it also teaches us about cat behavior because the domestic cat retains many of the traits of the wild cat ancestor.
