This kitten rescue will have your heart in your mouth. It’s tense.
You should play the video a few times because it happens fast and it’ll give you the opportunity to see the kitten crouched in the middle of this very busy road full of traffic. Certain death was on the cards and a moment away until some guys stopped and they did.
The driver of the ‘jeepney’ (Philippines style bus) is the person who picks up the kitten and deposits him in the central reservation (traffic island). That was very good of him but not so clever because it wouldn’t have been long before the terrified kitten wandered onto the road again.
How the kitten go there in the first place is a mystery. Perhaps someone threw the little fella out of a moving car not long before these guys turned up. I am guessing.
The guy who takes the kitten off the jeepney driver is Kristian Nabus. He is riding a motorcycle. He is a web developer. The place is Quezon City which is attached to Manila, the capital of the Philippines. It happened on Dec 3rd at about 8:45 in the morning.
Nabus takes the kitten home, feeds him etc. (see photo above) and re-homes him with a cat lover who already has cats – see video below…
In the second video we see the little ginger kitten looking fine. He’s understandable anxious but is meeting his new housemates and getting used to his new surroundings.
There are kind people all over the world. It takes guts to stop the traffic and rescue a kitten from the middle of the road. Fortunately the traffic was moving fairly slowly.
