Feb 25, 2012 Rating | We are honoured NEW Every cat someone gets is a blessing and we are honoured that they are sent to us to care for on Gods behalf. |
Feb 24, 2012 Rating | Hemingway is a fine cat NEW I too believe my little guy, Monty, is a gift from God. But I believe that it is possible that I am the gift to Monty more than the other way around. I’m always saying to him that somebody up there loves him, because Monty was a rescue too– but he didn’t have as many health problems as your little guy. There is something very special in knowing that your little companion’s life is so much better because of what you have done for him. I know every day that Monty probably would not be alive at all had I not adopted him and I’ll bet the same is true for Hemingway had you not rescued him. I thought at first you named him for Ernest Hemingway. I’m glad he wasn’t named for that author, because I really can’t stand his boring writing. Hemingway would describe your cat like this: “Hemingway was a fine cat.” See what I mean? Second graders could write better. What did Ernest Hemingway have against descriptive adjectives? But no author said more with just one word: “fine.” May all it stood for |

Feb 23, 2012 Rating | HI NEW Hi Sarah. Loved this gentle and optimistic story. I hope you don’t mind the slight change to your title. I felt is needed something like that as it is a special little story. I think you need a pat on the back for doing the kind and right thing. Your vet, however, let Hemingway and you down. He did not try hard enough and you did. It makes me wonder how Hemingway ended up where he did, in a bush dying. Anyway, an angel of rescue came walking by and the reward is an especially close relationship. |
