The picture gives the answer to the question in the title. It depends on the abundance or scarcity of prey. Clearly a tiger would have to travel much further and more widely if prey is scarce whereas if it is abundant the tiger may travel a relatively short distance of around 7 km during the night when hunting normally takes place. The maximum according to my information is around 50 to 60 km during one hunting trip.
