How many cats does Molly-Mae have?

We know how many cats Molly-Mae has because she and her cats are in the news today. There is a headline which states: “Molly-Mae Hague warned over ‘toxic danger’ to her cats in new £3 million mansion”. It’s important to note, however, that any articles about the number of cats that a person has is time sensitive. Things change and so there will come a time when this page is out of date. At the moment it is current!

And in the story, we are told that Molly-Mae has two cats: Eggy and Bread. Molly-Mae has a very successful Instagram page with 6.3 million followers. She has almost 1,000 photographs and they are pretty well all of her in fashion shoots, it seems to me. She looks very pretty and the clothes looked great. I could not find pictures of her cats but there is one on the OK! website.

It seems that one of her cats is a Scottish Fold type or perhaps a purebred Scottish Fold, I don’t know. And the other appears to be a chinchilla traditional Persian. Note: these are not the first cats that Molly-Mae has lived with. A story from 2020 concerned her, then, tabby cat being hit by car. You can read about that if you wish by clicking on this link.

She is in the news because her boyfriend, Tommy Fury, returned home with some Easter gifts which included a bouquet of flowers. And it seems that the flowers were lilies and anybody who knows anything about plants poisonous to cats, knows that Easter lilies are the most dangerous plant on the planet in respect of cats. Lilies can kill cats.

RELATED: Which lilies are not poisonous to cats?

I have a page on the topic of lilies being poisonous to cats. Some lilies are not poisonous (see link above) but by and large you should avoid lilies if you have a cat. And there is a genuine danger here.

I hope that they’ve rectify this dire problem because leaving Easter lilies in a house even for a short time is asking for trouble if you live with a couple of cats.

Molly-Mae has recently moved into a £3 million mansion which she is renovating to her taste. As I understand it, the reservations are quite extensive. I recall that the noise and general disturbance of the renovations were causing problems for her cats as well. The work is going to last 12 weeks.

It seems that Molly-Mae was unaware of the danger of lilies to cats because when she received them from Tommy she was delighted saying: “Oh lilies! They’re beautiful.”

I guess that she has learned of the dangers now through comments on her Instagram webpage.

Who is Molly-Mae Hague?

Like me, you might not be familiar with this social media influencer. She was born on May 26, 1999 and found fame when she was runner-up in the fifth series of reality dating show Love Island. She appears to have used that as a springboard to become a successful businesswoman and is the creative director of PrettyLittleThing and has been since 2021.

Her successful Instagram pages must generate a considerable income for her. She has had some hiccups such as being reprimanded for running an £8,000 prize draw on Instagram which failed to follow advertising regulations for competitions. And she made some controversial remarks when interviewed as a guest on Stephen Bartlett’s The Diary of a CEO pod cast which was uploaded to YouTube. Apparently, she made “Thatcherite” comments. This implies (and I have not seen the video or heard the interview) that she votes Conservative.
