Make me a star-PLEASE?! I'm beautiful, talented and clumsy!
Hi everybody! It's Furby! I'm sorry I'm so behind in keeping up with myself. I've had a hard time protecting the rest of my nine lives. Sometimes I'm an accident waiting to happen. I've got a good excuse for that too. I'm getting bigger.
Here's what's happened since my last story. How many lives do I get?
It all started on May 10 when I jumped on the washing machine. You guess it. I overshot it AGAIN and Laura had to rescue me AGAIN. How embarrassing. I didn't have this problem until I grew. I guess it doesn't take as much jump to get me up there.
Then on May 12, I decided to take a nap on the TV. It's one of my favorite spots. I woke up and decided to stretch my claws out. One of my claws got hung in the tv digital converter box. I'm glad mama was there because she gave me one of those "don't move" looks. She came over and tried to get me loose, but I was stuck good. My claw stayed stuck until I retracted it. I'm glad mama was there because she said I could have broken a leg in I'd jumped down with the box stuck on my claw.. I already walk funny because of a problem with my front legs. She calls me a "muscle man."
Just when I think things were getting better I chose another bad way to sleep. I'd made it 2 days out of trouble. I was taking a little nap on the kitchen bar because I was still a little afraid the converter box would ATTACK me again. The dogs were eating under the bar and that didn't bother me because they always eat there. They got into a disagreement over the food and woke me up.
I rolled over and fell off of the bar. So much for this being a good sleeping spot. I got up and ran to the top of the washer. Down I went again. Right over the back and onto the floor. Mama went all thru the bedroom looking for me and calling me. She finally came out and I made her find me and help me out. What can I say? Some days I'm still not too smart. Mama laughed at me when she saw my big head and my big feet trying to get out by myself. It's hard jumping straight up. If I jump too high I bang my head on the cabinets over the washer. This happened on May 15.
On May 16, I got in trouble again. I went in mama's bedroom with her for my nightly massage. I decided to stick around and explore. Mama has a laundry basket sitting on a chair and it was full of clothes. It looked like a good spot to take a nap. How was I to know it would tumble over on top of me. I got out of the way just in time. Mama laughed at me again. I want to file a complaint! That basket of clothes ATTACKED me!
Now my favorite spot is on top of the microwave where I can look in the mirror at a beautiful cat who looks just like me. At least nothing has happened to me there. The cat in the mirror is being good too.
I got to meet the neighbors dogs on May 19. They are chihuahaus. I call them the Taco Bell gang. Their names are Bindi and Dino. Dino used to be married to mama's dog Darla. They came in to visit with their mama Annie and guess what? I'm bigger than they are. Mama thought she was gonna get a picture of me with all my fur on end. I didn't have to do that. I just gave them "the feral cat look" and they left me alone.
I almost forgot. I'm gonna be famous. I'm gonna have THOUSANDS of friends. People friends and CAT friends. Mama has started 2 new fan sites for me.
One is Furby Fan Club. Mama says she loves that site because she can choose friends for herself too. You pick friends there on things that interest you.
She also got me a new site today on Catster. It's just for cats. No people allowed. YEA! That's my kind of club. She's going to get me a lot of cat friends there. Here's my site there.
Please go to these 2 newby's and be my friend. PLEASE?! I love everybody and I want everybody to love me.
That's it for me. I hope everybody has a good week.
What can I say. My little muscle man attracts trouble. I've started logging his mishaps in my Journal software.
I hope to put him in his first show in August or September. He's been preparing since day 1 and doesn't know it. We hold him over our heads like the judges will. He doesn't mind it at all. In fact, he loves all the attention he can get out of anyone. Especially women.
This is another tidbit of exotic Americana; the world of private zoos, exotic cats and…
This is an interesting and perhaps a landmark legal case regarding writing posts on Facebook…
