How many teeth do cats have?

Adult cats have 30 teeth. Adult humans have 32 teeth.


  • Incisors (at the front of the lower and upper jaw): lower jaw 6, upper jaw 6
  • Canines (at the sides of the jaw at the front): lower jaw 2, upper jaw 2
  • Premolars (at the sides of jaw in the middle): lower jaw 4, upper jaw 6
  • Molars (at the sides of the jaw at the back): lower jaw 2, upper jaw 2


8 incisors, 4 canines, 8 premolars, and 12 molars (including 4 wisdom teeth).
