The wild cat species spray urine as a territorial marker very frequently, surprisingly frequently in fact. But domestic cats much less so because they are both neutered and in general there is less requirement to mark territory unless perhaps they are a living multi-cat households or they roam outside where there are lots of other domestic cats doing the same thing in which case there will be challenges over territory. Wild cat species mark territory routinely whereas domestic cats will only market when required to do so.
