I have $42.50 to give to a cat charity. You choose.

Last month I ran a five cents per comment cat charity program. In other words for every comment made PoC would donate five cents to a cat charity of choice. My intention was to let the leading commenter for August choose the cat charity. Unfortunately, the person wrote the most comments does not wish to choose a cat charity and therefore I will leave it to other visitors.

As 850 comments were made last month there is $42.50 to give away. I should be very pleased if visitors to this page would leave a comment and tell me which cat charity should receive the money. By the way, I apologize for the slight delay in writing the article. I was hoping that the person who wrote the most comments would get back to me and gave them time to do so.

My preference would be a small independent cat charity because they tend to be overlooked and secondly it is more likely the money goes directly to cat welfare rather than into administration costs.

Also, as the majority of visitors to this website live in America, it may be appropriate for an American, independent cat rescue non-profit to receive the money.

I realize that the amount is quite small but money is money and every little bit helps.

I nominate Tommy’s Feral Feline Friends in Greene, Maine. They are a small team that has managed feral colonies in their area for 32 years, and could really use the donation. ???

They have a Facebook page by the same name, and a website:
