I just got a F2 cat he is 10 months old

He hasn’t been around people much but has come around alot in just a few days. I guess what I’m asking is if I can exspect him to become real friendly like a house cat or not? Any help will be much apprecciated my email is:

Hi Tim, sorry for the delay. I don’t live with an F2 Savannah but have seen the Savannah cats living with Kathrin and Martin Stucki. You may have seen the video of their fine F2 Savannah playing:

As the video indicates the F2 Savannah is a normal domestic cat with a slight difference; a bit more active and perhaps requiring a little more input from the person. And yes, you should expect a Savannah cat to be “real friendly”. Helmi Flick lived with f1 Chausie (another wild cat hybrid) and the bonding is of a high level. I’ve never had a Savannah cat but doing cat rescue I’ve always found if you talk to the cat, using his/her name a lot,the cat usually settles down and becomes a wonderful house pet.
