I Lost My Cat

I Lost My Cat

by 10 year old author

Hi I just want to tell you that we can’t find our cat.My dad was driving his car and ran over something on the cat and the cat ran away.

ANY ADVICE and I’m 10 years old.

Hi… Sorry to hear that you have lost your cat. I am not sure what happened from you short article.

But I’ll have to guess what happened. You Dad may have accidentally hurt your cat and your cat has run away to a quiet place.

I don’t know if your cat is injured. She or he might be but it is not clear as I said. When cats are injured they do run away and hide. They nurse their injury if they can. If they are badly injured they can die in a quiet place. But please don’t get me wrong. I am not saying that you cat is badly injured. I am just describing some possibilities.

The alternative is that your cat was scared and has disappeared for a while. If that is true he or she will probably turn up.

You might search in quiet places nearby in case she is injured. When you find her, if she is OK, be very gentle and reassuring towards her so she gains her confidence again.

I wish you and your cat the best of luck.

I think that you are the youngest person to write on PoC (other than the Warrior Cats role players).

I would welcome the input of other visitors who may have some better ideas and thoughts.

Best

Dont give up hope…
by: Anonymous

Praying for you & your kitty. I pray that God will send angels to you & your kitty to comfort you both & help guide your kitty home. I know you are sad, but dont give up hope. It is possible for your kitty to come home, I have heard of alot of happy endings to sad stories. Continue to call for your kitty, sometimes shaking a treat jar or food bag helps, check local animal shelters, and hang up posters & pray. Hope & prayer are very powerful, dont give up! Good luck & Best Wishes to you & your kitty. God bless you both!

keep the door open
by: Anna

Dear 10year old cat Mom (or Dad):

This is what to do:

1. Carefully check out all the bushes, shrubs and other possible hiding places in the area (like Michael said).

2. As you walk around, do it at a slow pace and call your kitty with a quiet tender voice, not to scare him (or her) even more.

3. The most important, keep the way for your lost baby open to come in the house all night long. If you are in the safe area, I would keep the door or the sliding door a bit open, just enough for the kitty to snick back in and hide in some other place at home while she heals.

Very often cats try to come home undetected at night, and if they find their familiar way in locked and door closed, they have no option but to retreat back to her outside hiding place for the next day.

Hope you reunite with your kitty soon!
