I Would Love To Adopt a Teacup Kitty

I Would Love To Adopt a Teacup Kitty

I would LOVE to adopt a teacup kitty, or pocket kitty! Preferably short hair, are those available? I see the picture of “Pete” how would I go about adopting a teacup kitty like “pete”?

If you could let me know how I would go about this I’d greatly appreciate it.

Anyone reading this if you know please drop me a message at TLCOOKE22@Yahoo.com. Thanks so much and I’ll be looking forward to all and any responses.

Tara

Hi Tara… Teacup cats are, in my experience, rare and confined to the USA so you are in the right place. Someone might come forward as a result of your post. You might get lucky.

There are only a few breeders and some are not that good, perhaps it is fair to say. Sometimes breeders pass of small cats as teacup cats or immature cats as teacup cats.

Lets not forget that teacup cats are just very small cats that have bred small by selective breeding (selecting small cats to mate with small cats and so on).

You will probably have to buy one from a breeder and the price may be high. Pocket Kittys is the one I mention on the teacup cat page. I would ring them and start there as they will know all the angles, I suspect. Their site was down for a while but is up now as far as I am aware.

    • Hi Sheron, I presume that you live in America. I have visited teacup kitten breeder websites this morning searching for “teacup cat for sale” (try it) and I don’t really like what I see. Teacup cats can weight 7 pounds which is actually a small cat. Don’t be fooled. And they always show photos of kittens not adult cats. Also they don’t quote prices or allow you to visit their cattery. So, all in all, I would not bother. If you are sure you want to go ahead contact them from their websites and ask some questions but I don’t think you’ll be buying a tiny adult cat, more likely a smallish Pesian at a high price. Also there sometimes health problems with runtish cat. Beware. Good luck Sheron.
