It’s largely about cats trying to fit into ridiculously small boxes or other receptacles reflecting the domestic cat’s obsession with being confined on four sides. Has someone come up with a good explanation for this? I say it is because cats like the feeling of security that a box brings when they snuggle inside. Of course the cat won’t get that from a box which is a quarter of the size of the cat.
