This is a photograph of the cat once he had been taken inside the shelter facility. The paragraph is presumably a record by one of the volunteers at the shelter to show his condition which looks poorly. On the face of it the cat was abandoned in an inhumane manner because it took place at night in subzero temperatures and the cat would have been outside in a plastic box for several hours or more. Cats are very durable and good survivors but this was inhumane. However, we don’t know the full circumstances. The cat may have been a stray cat and the person who saved him perhaps could not take the cat to the shelter at the allotted times when somebody was there.
