In Memory of Stormy ='(

We met this starving cat near one of our neighbors houses. We could see her ribs, so we would drop by every day and feed her.
We fed her for a while, and she got better slowly, but unfortunately our efforts weren’t enough.
Her ribs started to show again, and we gave her extra food, but one day she was gone, and we haven’t seen her since.
R.I.P Stormy 🙂
Ethan and Caleb
Hi there… thanks for this short but memorable post.
For me it kind of sums up what is wrong with the domestic cat world.
Stormy was just one more starving neglected cat that has died. Lets think nothing of it..
After all over 2 million are deliberately killed by shelters each year. And these are mainly healthy cats.
You see, collectively we don’t really care, do we? We do nothing (hardly) to change the status quo, to improve things.
Some people do care, such as Ethan and Caleb. But it is not enough frankly. This website is not enough. It scratches the surface.
Fundamental changes are required in ownership of cats, abandoning cats, dealing with feral cats and in veterinary services that fail cats miserably (i.e. declawing which perpetuates a lot of poor behavior).
