In remembrance of Chunchu Nair: ‘First death anniversary’ post in the newspaper goes viral

When a family posted a one-year anniversary remembrance of their cat in the local newspaper (I believe in New Delhi) they most likely never imagined the number of people who would share the heartwarming post on social media.

The family remembered their cat in the newspaper.

The photo and a short note which read “Chunchu Nair. Molutty, we badly miss you,” was posted in the kennel and pets section of the newspaper. It didn’t take long for people to take notice.

Most folks were kind as they shared Chunchu Nair on Twitter. Some of their posts can be found here.

I think this was a very sweet gesture and a way to remember a beloved cat. At least we all know what section of the newspaper to run a pet remembrance in since there isn’t a pet memorial category.

This reminds me of an article I did a few years back.

Enjoy the Rainbow Bridge, sweet Chunchu Nair. Your family loved you very much.
