The attorney who dealt with the prosecution of David and Louise Turpin for 14 felonies including ‘cruelty to an adult dependent, child cruelty, torture and false imprisonment’ has revealed that on one occasion when the eldest sibling, Jennifer, was 9-years-of age they punished her by throwing her cat to feral dogs. They made their daughter watch as the dogs killed and ate the cat. In the attorney’s words:

She was caught stealing or taking some food from the fridge or pantry, and her mom told her to bring her cat and so Mom put the cat outside, and made her daughter watch as these dogs literally ate the cat in front of her, tore apart the cat and killed it.

She was ‘stealing’ food because her parents were starving her by feeding her once a day. When Jennifer was found by the police she was 29-years-of-age and weighed 82 pounds (37 kilograms).

As parents Mr and Mrs Turpin meted out the most awful and continuous child abuse over many years until, on January 14, 2018, Jordan, the 17-year-old sibling escaped and called the police. The police found some of their 13 children chained to their beds in a foul-smelling dark room. Their mother was naive and thought she could fix everything by being a better mother in future. Mr Turpin knew what he was doing. They had 13 children because ‘God called on them’ to do so. It is claimed that Louise Turpin was abuse as a child.

The pair were imprisoned for 25 years with little chance of parole so they’ll probably never be released.
