My thanks to a veterinarian who many admire and to whom we owe a debt because of his great books on all aspects of the domestic cat: Dr Bruce Fogle DVM. I think it is useful to have some straightforward guidelines on detecting possible cat health issues through changes in their activities, demeanour, breathing, expressions, sounds, posture, gait and temperament. It is form of basic feline health diagnosis which can help a cat caregiver better understand unusual behaviours while doing a bit of diagnosis in preparation for a veterinary visit. Of course, home diagnosis does not remove the need to seek veterinary advice when deemed appropriate or in doubt. I hope you find the infographic, over two pages, helpful.
