Hi, I am not going to pad out the page with unnecessary words because as far as I am concerned all I want to say is contained within the infographic. It is meant to be succinct, readable, quick, an overview and, yes, a guide to general matters concerning feeding domestic cats.
The big issue on feeding cats is the divergent attitudes of veterinarians and some skilled cat caregivers in providing a raw diet. It is a contentious area because the advocates of a raw diet claim it improves the health of their cats and resolves some outstanding health issues which can be difficult to fix such as IBD and what is generically described as ‘smelly poo’! This indicates a gut problem and the advocates say a raw diet can be beneficial.
The problem is that the vets are right in that it takes skill and knowledge to avoid cross contamination and using ‘meats’ contaminated with pathogens.
