Do cats go away to die? I don’t believe that cats to go away to die. Cats go away to a quiet place when they are injured or frightened and they may pass away in that position. This may give the impression that they’re gone away to die. It is argued that cats do not know what death is and therefore if that is the case they will not be able to go away to die.
