Cats are not that familiar with fruits and vegetables. They sometimes think they are animals and a threat to their health. Cats are familiar with prey items such as mice and birds. But vegetables…no, they haven’t received an education about those. Therefore it does not surprise me when a cat is scared to suddenly find a strange object immediately behind her after she has been quietly eating:
