Just euthanize him. I don’t want him any more
This is the sweet story of a ginger tabby-and-white male rescue cat. It is not an entirely untypical cat rescue story. It seems that a woman walked into her veterinarian’s clinic with a cat that she had lived with since he was a little kitten. She told the veterinarian:
“Just euthanize him. I don’t want him any more.”

The cat’s name is Sully. He is healthy. He was healthy when the woman brought him into the veterinarian’s clinic. She took him in to have him killed as far as I can tell. Sully is neutered, he is FeLV and FIV negative. He is house trained and he is current on his vaccinations. He is handsome. He is a perfect cat companion but the woman wanted rid of him. Her veterinarian had a different plan and did not comply with the woman’s request, thankfully.
It appears that the vet contacted Michigan Cat Rescue who took him in for rehoming. On January 24 they announced on Facebook that an adoption was pending with an update to follow.
Clearly somebody had read their post on Facebook in which they explained how good a cat companion he would be and that he was looking for true love by which they meant a person who could look after him properly for the rest of his life unlike the his first guardian who proved not to be a guardian at all.
That person came along and her name is Nikki. You can see her in the photograph. You can see Sully touching noses with Nikki which is a very good start. It also tells us Sully is confident with a pleasant character.

Apparently half a million people have seen the story which begs the question why I missed it! Michigan Cat Rescue rightly state that the second chapter in his life begins on January 26, the date when he was adopted for the second time.
Obviously this is a success story and I think in this instance we can praise Facebook for being such an effective vehicle for promoting and advertising rescue cats looking for a new home.
Christa Lee sums it up: This literally brought tears of happiness to my eyes!!!!! So HAPPY for this sweet boy!!!!! ❤❤❤❤ Well done Michigan Cat Rescue!!!!!!
