Rolo was a young Bulldog puppy in the care of Katie Price. She had given the puppy to her daughter Princess. She was given the puppy by a breeder. The breeder said that she must be in attendance in the interest of the welfare and safety of the puppy. The puppy was in a room with a motorised chair. Katie Price left the room. The puppy went under the chair and was crushed by the mechanism. As a consequence, she has been heavily criticised on Twitter. She notified the breeder who was devastated. The RSPCA have commented. There has been calls for her to be prosecuted by the RSPCA. PETA, the animal rights advocates, have suggested that she no longer adopts companion animals but buys cuddly toys instead.
