This is a follow-up to the article written by Elisa about a man in an apartment block feeding abandoned cat with food on fishhooks [link]. It resulted in cats swallowing the fishhooks which severely injured them.
Fifteen cats were involved and ten have been rescued at the last count per the rescue involved, Whiskers World Inc.. They have explained the situation on their Facebook page (scroll down). They are still involved in the rescue of these cats and their rehabilitation. The veterinary bills will be substantial.
On their Facebook post there are almost 1,000 comments. A comment made about a day ago by a man whose name is Dougie Doug makes an allegation that the person who did this is Kenny Rowles.
We have no idea if this is true or not but it needs to be checked out.
According to Dougie this man “lives in a house that looks like a crack house in Plymouth. A lot of people from the area are looking for him.”
I think I have a duty to report that comment on my website. I have a duty to assist in finding this man. I obviously have to use the word “allegation” because I cannot confirm the veracity of what Dougie says in his comment. Like I said it could be entirely wrong.
The man should be found and questioned by the police. I hope the police are involved in this. I hope the police read this page on Facebook. We have a name and the man is allegedly a crack taker. This narrows things down. Let’s find this person and see if he can help in the investigation. Is there an investigation??!
Let’s try and do justice. Let’s right a wrong. We owe it to these cats who have been so badly treated and let down by people.
Firstly they were abandoned then they were cruelly tortured with fishhooks carrying a bait which the cats were bound to be attracted to because no doubt they were very hungry. Perhaps they were starving. The man who did it lives above the apartment where cats were abandoned so I presume that he dropped a string with fish hook and food attached from the landing above.
“He’s putting a hook and putting food on it and jingling it for the cat. There was a string with a hook and then he put food on it, dangling for the cat, and the cat ate it. He deliberately, he was fishing for cats, that’s what he said.” – Dawn Mandygral.
