Kristen Lindsey ordered to pay court costs: Court holds that there was no reversible error in the trial court’s judgment
Please note the date is showing April 28 because in the UK (and other parts of the world) they’re ahead of us in the states.
For those of you unfamiliar with Kristen Lindsey, this cat killing veterinarian made global news in April 2015 when she posted a photo to Facebook bragging about shooting a cat named Tiger with a bow and arrow. PoC.org has covered the case from the beginning.

Lindsey ordered by 3rd COA to pay all court costs
Tiger’s Justice Team News posted an update on their Facebook community page April 27, 2018 (see post below). They say that Lindsey sued the vet board in 2016 and again in 2017. She claimed that the board exceeded its authority in pursuing disciplinary action against her veterinary license. District Court Judge Karin Crump ruled against Lindsey in both cases. She then appealed but the courts have had enough.
In an affirmation rendered on April 27, 2018, the 3rd COA (Court of Appeals) Justices wrote:
“Having reviewed the record and the parties’ arguments, the Court holds that there was no reversible error in the trial court’s judgment. Therefore, the Court affirms the trial court’s judgment. The appellant [Lindsey] shall pay all costs relating to this appeal, both in this Court and in the court below.”
Lindsey and her attorney Brian Bishop have the option to file a motion for rehearing or to appeal the case before the Texas Supreme Court.
The 3rd COA issued a 22 page memorandum along with the confirmation, which can be found here. Those interested should navigate to the link, then enter case #03-17-00513-CV and select the document titled “Memorandum Opinion.” The website was down earlier for maintenance so please try again later if the page doesn’t load.
Tiger’s Team would like to thank the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners General Counsel Michelle Griffin and Texas Assistant State Attorney General Ted Ross for their advocacy in pursuit of justice, as well as TJT’s Animal Law Attorney Zandra Anderson. And of course, thanks go out to those who contacted the Brenham Police Department to see justice done to the woman who killed Tiger.

I sincerely hope this is the last article about Kristen Lindsey I’ll have to cover. Here is the Facebook post:
