Latest American alleged mass murderer, Salvador Ramos, wanted the same fame as kitten-killer Luka Magnotta

Luka Magnotta is notorious for killing two kittens by suffocation and uploading the video to the Internet. You can see that video on this website. He went on to kill a Chinese international student Jun Lin. A Netflix TV series was made about the online manhunt to find Magnotta, called: Don’t F**k with Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer. That title, I believe, is highly unfortunate because it links domestic cats with the worst kind of crimes imaginable.

You could argue that it isn’t the title to the docuseries which connects cats to terrible crimes but Luka Magnotta who killed those kittens. Certainly, his crime led to the title but it could have been a different title that wasn’t so glib and designed to be click bait. The title must have been decided upon because a group of Internet sleuths wanted to track down Luka Magnotta who cruelly suffocated two kittens. In other words, they were motivated by the death of the kittens and perhaps they wouldn’t be motivated by the deaths of two people. But it seems, now, that in perpetuity we going to have cats merged with mass murder and I don’t like it.

Salvador Ramos
Salvador Ramos. Self-portrait from his Instagram account. He appears to have a similar self-image to Luka Magnotta (copying Magnotta?). He looks as if he might be gay and perhaps obsessed with a sexualised image. I’m speculating but I notice a similarity between this image and those taken by Luka Magnotta before we ended up in jail.

It seems that Salvador Ramos particularly liked that Netflix docuseries and wanted a piece of the action. He wanted the fame and notoriety achieved by Luka Magnotta as portrayed in the docuseries. And he, as the world knows, is the latest alleged mass murder of schoolchildren in shooting 19 dead and two adults at Robb Elementary School, Texas.

He used a live social networking website called Yubo. The site connects members with people all over the world. You can create live streams with 10 friends. And it is reported that from this social networking site, it was revealed that Ramos wanted fame similar to that described on the Netflix docuseries.

One female member of that social networking site has told the news media that Ramos compared himself to the Netflix show. It appears that he was fascinated with Luka Magnotta’s notoriety and perhaps Luka Magnotta’s criminality in part motivated him to do what he did.

And so, we have a connection between cats and mass murder which I find sad. The docuseries became one of Netflix’s top five most-watched programmes in 2019. It was directed by Mark Lewis and he is also credited with writing the series. Therefore, I think I can blame him for the title. It is such a big docuseries seen by so many that I think you can end up with a distorted mentality in the minds of many individuals which might encourage them to kill cats. Yes, I believe that this docuseries and its title can lead to cat killing and for that reason I don’t like it.

Below are some more articles about Luka Magnotta as he is sadly famous or let’s put it this way: notorious.

    • The British cannot understand two things about America: the gun laws which seem very backward and ridiculous to any thinking British person and cat declawing which is a disastrous anomaly in the American psyche. The operation should never have been created in the first place. America is a land of cat lovers by and large. How the citizens of America have allowed declawing to take hold is beyond the imagination of any British person who thinks about it.
