Lil Bub was probably the internet’s No. 2 cat celebrity over the past couple of years, after Grumpy Cat and now both have passed over the Rainbow Bridge. This was a worldwide status. They were both uniquely successful in their own way. They both made and raised a lot of money for charity and their owners.

Both had anatomical defects due to a genetic inheritance which made them celebrities thanks to their interesting appearance.

Mr Mike Bridavsky, Lil Bub’s human guardian, said her death came ‘abruptly without warning’ and ‘Please visit all of us in our dreams’. I am not sure what that means but there has been an outpouring of grief at her passing because she had an army of social media followers. A bone infection was the cause of death we are told by The New York Times.
Lil Bub was born on June 21, 2011. Her life was cut short at 8 years of age. She suffered from osteoporosis which was diagnosed when she was one.
It made her immobile and she received daily treatment. In her final years she was able to run and jump. She was the runt of a feral kitten litter and rescued. She also suffered from dwarfism (short legs) and other defects such as an uneven jaw and an extra toe on each of her paws (polydactylism).
She helped raise more than $700k for animal welfare organisations.
