Lion Prey Kruger NP

This is a table showing what I have called the “lion prey profile” from one of the famous national parks of Africa, the Kruger National Park. The sample size is impressively large at 12,313 and the data comes from the best book on wild cats: Wild Cats Of The World Table 55 page 301 – ISBN-13: 978-0-226-77999-7.

The number one prey item, the wildebeest, weighs from 265 to 600 lb (120–270 kg).
