Lions Wins No Question in Lion vs Tiger

A friend of mine is a zoo keeper and i personaly study both animals . The male fully grown fully tiger where as the tiger fears the male lion and usually tries only to fend off the lion rather than attacking, then submits but the lion will not stop until it is a clear winner.
If roughly equal in size and healthy the lion wins ..
One story told to me was that he had a cage full of Bengal tigers, 6 in total and their cage was being moved and rebuilt so they were put in together. One was a large Siberian tiger weighing 650lbs.
They where ripping hell out of each other. So John (zoo keeper) also had a male lion weighing 530bls called Samsan who was as he called it, the most calm cat he ever raised but if roused had no equal. He was introduced to the tigers along with 2 lionesses and a young male lion called Mighty Joe.
As soon as they entered the cage the tigers 5 of who where male hissed and growled, roared the lioness stayed close to Samson and Mighty Joe the other male who was 3 and a half and had a good mane but not full laid down. The lionesses joined him as if they didn't care about the prospect of the tigers .
And to good reason Samson walked alone over to the big Siberian tiger and clouted him forcing him to submit and then chased several others as a show of "hey boys I'm the king .. the tigers moved away to the other side then Samson rolled on his back and the lions joined him.
I have watched videos on the net edited to make the tiger win (never showing the full out come) when really 8 out of ten times the lion then chases the tiger off or clouts them around.
I have seen the video I wote about it was filmed if I get my hands on it I'll post . there's a reason the Romans chose them as there symbol and not the tiger - 8 out of ten times the male lion is dominant over thee tiger and the rest, although I think the Siberian tiger and Bengal are amazing and if bigger could hold its own.
