Little Karim Needs a Home and Playmate!

Cute little K-boy
I work with Anjellicle Cats Rescue in NYC, and man the organization's 24-hour hotline. On May 28, 2009, I responded to a call about a very friendly mother cat with five kittens who had been born two days earlier in a back yard on Staten Island. When we got there, there was only one kitten left alive. The mother, who we named Vashti, is a beautiful, affectionate young cat. She tested positive for FeLV and I was able to find her placement in a hospice/home in upper NYC.
Her baby, Karim is now 12 weeks old and tested positive at 8 weeks. He has never been sick a day in his life, and is very friendly and very smart - he has learned how to fetch! I am treating him with nosodes and nutritional support in the hope he also can live a long life of 10+ years. Once he is vaccinated, he can go to a home with other FeLV+ cats or as a single cat, hopefully with a family with another animal to play with. He is desperate to play, and it is so hard not to be able to give him a big brother or sister. As I have two negative cats in my tiny NYC apartment, I am not able to keep him. I am open to any advice as to how I might find this kitty a home; he so deserves a chance to be a pet! Thank you.
