Officers found the mama cat and her babies hiding behind someone’s home where she was trying to protect her kittens from the rain.

Louisville Metro Animal Services were contacted and the officers waited with the little family until they arrived. The LMPD Facebook community page stated once the kittens are weaned they’ll be put up for adoption.

It’s nice to see stories where police officers are taking the time to ensure a homeless cat family has a safe place to go until they’re ready for rescue or adoption. Thanks, everyone.
