Infamous Luka Magnotta was sent down to prison in Quebec for life for the murder and dismemberment of Jun Lin. Perhaps the ‘murder’ of two kittens by suffocation is what he is better remembered for (see video – it opens a new tab or page). This is upsetting to the parents of Jun Lin who feel that Jun Lin has been forgotten. For what it is worth I would like the world to remember Mr Lin.
In causing more hurt for the family of Jun Lin, Magnotta now says in letters sent to the Toronto Sun in 2015, that his prison door is left open 90% of the time which makes his imprisonment seem as if he is in a university setting.
Our doors are open 90% of the time so for me I feel like I’m in a university setting.
He has his own stereo for his room and a portable one ‘for when I suntan outside’. He plays hockey and tennis. He was sent chocolates on Valentine’s Day! He takes the piss out of the British Royal family in saying:
I wonder what it would be like to be f***ed by one of the royal family? I bet Will and Harry know just how to use their crown jewels lol.
It seems that he is getting fat as he complained about the amount of chocolate in prison, specifically Ferrero Rocher.
He has a husband, Anthony Jolin, and the walls of his cell are plastered with pictures of his admirers. His mother was a witness at his wedding (she believes that her son was forced to kill by mysterious ‘Manny’). He met Jolin, who is also serving life for murder, on a dating website in 2015. Magnotta can apply for parole in 2039.
Comment: this does not look like punishment to me. Magnotta is giving ‘the finger’ to the public and his victim’s family. And I want to remember the kittens too. You can read more about Magnotta by clicking on this link. Source: Metro.co.uk.
