https://t.co/nb52KX2AzJ – this looks like one of those super-feral cats that the Aussie authorities talk about so much and which scares them to death as they take native species.

I have suggested that this is a large (not massive 😃) feral cat because the Aussie’s believe that the feral cats in their country have had it so good for so long that they’ve become super-large and evolved into a new species of wild cat.
On the other hand, this might be a cuddly black domestic cat running home for his dinner 💕😊 .
The good thing about this video story (as I’ll call it is there is no text with it) is the cat is not described as a ‘big cat’ or ‘black panther’ which is the kind of reaction we would see in the UK by those who believe that there are wild big cats in the British countryside. There is no hard evidence of it.
The black cat in the video looks like a large domestic or feral cat, certainly. It is a nice video in that we can see the cat clearly compared to the UK examples which care invariably very unclear. It is in slo mo too. The video maker seems to have had the presence of mind to turn on slo mo.

The video is from news.com.au. Thanks.
Just another myth so they can continue to demonize cats and kill them. And yet some states make it illegal to spay and neuter feral cats. They caused the feral cat problem. If I one person can spay and neuter 200+ cats and 15 years later only have 2 of the original 200 left then Australia can do it too.
Wasn’t it in the 60’s they had a rabbit problem because they had killed all the natural predator of the rabbit? And don’t they have a problem now of loggers taking trees with Koalas in them killing hundreds? Australia doesn’t do very good management of the wildlife or people.
And now they are muscling in here in the USA to destroy wetlands with mining and killing our native wildlife!
Thanks TJB. Yes, I agree. What annoys me the most is that the Aussies pass the buck to cats for ‘destroying’ their native species when it’s the humans who are doing the most damage. The Aussie authorities are in gross violation of their own animal welfare laws on a daily basis. Nothing happens. They are not given special exceptions to allow them to slaughter hundreds of thousands of feral cats in inhumane ways causing mass pain. They just do it and no one complains except me and you and some other animal advocates.
