Kaine Louzader, 20, lives in the quiet Hunting Creek subdivision just off Laura Hill Road. None of his neighbors were aware cats were being mutilated and killed. Some of the cats were dismembered after being stomped on or strangled. Then Louzader would dispose of the body.

According to court documents, it was the disposal of a cat that got Louzader caught when he was spotted dumping a dead cat from a bag of water on Wild Deer Lane on May 6.

Getting his hands on the cats was easy. Louzader would search Craigslist then meet people who were selling or giving away cats or kittens, which he would take back home and kill. He admitted this to police said St. Charles County police Sgt. Jeff Ochs. The crimes were committed between January 1 and May 9.

He told police that the scratches on his arms were due to an elderly woman at the hospital where he worked. Under police questioning he admitted they were caused by the cats he had killed.

Louzander posted on Facebook:

“Be still, and know that I am God.” — This is from Psalm 46:10.

St. Charles Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar says there may be more charges coming. It all depends on whether the cats were still alive when mutilated. Lohmar stated in an interview with KMOV News

“It becomes a felony if the animal was mutilated prior to death, so that is something we’re going to have to look at and make sure that in fact, we can prove the animals were mutilated before they died. I’m told suspect has scratches on his arms so the animal was presumably fighting for his life.

We’ve had several incidents over the years people involved in violent crimes, lo and behold in their background some animal mutilation so it’s a scary situation.”

Three mutilated kittens and a dead cat were found and Louzader has admitted to dismembering and killing cats. Louzader was arrested Friday and is being held on $50,000 bond and doesn’t have an attorney at this time.

He still has a Facebook page although it is likely that its days are numbered.

  1. yes !! we need to get the DEATH penalty re-instituted, AND NOT just for people who kill other people!
But for the sadist who murder animals as well!!!! Serial killing of helpless animals, usually end with killing HUMANS next, SEE how jeffry Dahmer got started ,killing aniamls, then :homosexual men..;(

  2. Anybody who even thinks about selling or worse yet giving away an animal without thorough, thorough and a more thorough check on someone they do not know well (very well) should read this! Total scum like this DOES exist and they happily prey on innocent animals, and on people who are not wise to this disgusting POS type of person. We must continue to spread the word on such scum. May he rot in hell.

These abusers will set up fake home visits at a friends house or send girlfriends to get the kittens wherever the Craigslist person wants to meet. This guy apparently paid for some of the cats and that makes it even scarier.

Read the part where the prosecuting attorney said they’ve seen cases where criminals started out abusing animals.

I’m curious what the verdict will be in this case. You have a person who’s already confessed but will that get him a harsher punishment or will he plea bargain it down to a fine.
